![]() ![]() Kind of like lottery, a store really doesn't make much with that either unless they sell a big winner (which they have no way of doing intentionally.) Most of the money from the sales goes to the companies that make them and the taxes to the government. In a convenient store, they hope you will come in and buy something more. A store selling them really mostly sells them for the convenience of their customers, at least in a supermarket. They actually aren't really losing out on much money by stopping the sale of cigarettes at a certain hour because stores do not really make much money off of the sales. I don't see why they wouldn't sell them after a certain time unless they don't have enough people on staff to sell them.
